ORANGE COUNTY MARKET PLACE HOSTS 2ND ANNUAL SPRING PET DAYS Vendors and nonprofit animal rescues invited to participate

1/27/2010 : Costa Mesa, CA--The Orange County Market Place, the weekend swap meet at the O. C. Fair & Event Center, will host the Second Annual Spring Pet Days, a two day event slated for Saturday, March 27 and Sunday, March 28. It will be held during the swap meet’s regular operating hours from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is included in admission, which is $2 or free for kids 12 and under. The spring event, which focuses on the meaning and benefits of adopting a pet, will feature several nonprofit organizations and specialty rescue centers with animals ready for adoption. Along with adoption opportunities, animal care and the importance of spaying and neutering will be emphasized through educational information, guest speakers and entertaining programs. Training tips, safety and animal welfare subjects along with pet related vendors will be included. The public may not bring their personal pets to this event, with the exception of therapy and seeing eye dogs.
 Admission to the swap meet, which is $2 for ages 13 and over, includes all Pet Days festivities. Children 12 and under are free. Free parking is also available. The Orange County Market Place, located at 88 Fair Drive in Costa Mesa, is held every Saturday and Sunday and features nearly 1,000 vendors offering a variety of goods and services.
